How to install and play with the Mods

Thanks to new SEC2 2.1.0 version (and Fred.cpp that developed it), the games which use this technology are able to support the mods that are others standalone games which can be introduced inside of another one.
We did this process adding inside TT2 the games FEAR, FREEFIRE and BastardMod transforming them as mods to be installed inside the folder of TT2 with a good success.

Here is the way how to install the Mods:

For first thing you must have the main game Terrorist Takedown 2: http://terrorist-takedown-2.nl/

Open the game Launcher and open the External Servers List clicking on Find Servers, there you will be able to see the others Servers list with the servers hosted in the different Mods, now when you will click in one server of a Mod, for first thing the system will inform you that you haven't installed the Mod and then when you will confirm that you want install it, it will begin automatically the download of that Mod where you tried to join. (Look the example in the Screenshots: Screenshot 1 - Screenshot 2 - Screenshot 3 - Screenshot 4 - Screenshot 5)

When the installation will be finished, the system will notify you with a message and then you will be ready to play in it. (Look the example in the Screenshot: Screenshot)

How to play a Mod - Host a Server and play in it:

When we began to develope the support of Mods, one of the most important questions was how to do to host a server in these Mods.
After weeks of work we choose to add the Host function of the Mods in the External Servers List, which will allow you to host the servers in the Mods easily. (Look the example in the Screenshot: Screenshot)

You can start even multiple servers if you want as you can do on TT2, starting the others ServerOptions2788*MOD with the same name but with different port number. (Look the example in the Screenshot: Screenshot)

IMPORTANT: If you try to host a server with internal menů in game of the Mod, that will host the servers uncorrectly, because that function doesn't save your modify applied to the server and will start even the normal TT2 servers or the servers of other Mods, so for this you must avoid to host the servers of the Mods using the internal function.

Even if you host with internal function of TT2 the system may host the servers of the Mods, so we suggest you to Host the servers and modify their settings using just the Launcher if you have installed also only one of new Mods. If you are not interested to play the Mods, then the hosting of main game Terrorist Takedown 2 will work as always and you can play just with that.

I want customize the servers of a Mod with a custom name and modify their settings. How can I do it?

When you host for the first time a server of Mod, close it and open the Launcher of TT2 and click "Edit Host Options", there you will find the Serveroption file with the name of mod where you hosted and you can modify from desktop the name of session and other settings, same thing that you can do with TT2 Servers. (Look the example in the Screenshots: Screenshot 1 - Screenshot 2)

You can reach the ServerOptions files also going in the External Servers List and clicking the new buttons called "Config" in the right side of the list. (Look the example in the Screenshots: Screenshot 1 - Screenshot 2)

How I do to add Custom Maps if I host a server in a Mod?

When you want add custom maps on TT2 you must add the location where are the custom contents in notepad file inside of TT2 folder (to go there you can click on TT2 desktop icon with "Mouse Right Button" and click on Open file location) called "Default" Archcfg.

If you want do the same for the Mods, when you install the Mods you will find for example "FEAR" Archcfg txt file (or Freefire.txt Archcfg if you have installed even that Mod), that's the same thing of Default file for TT2 but there you will add the location for the custom contents for the servers of Mod. (Look the example in the Screenshots: Screenshot 1 - Screenshot 2)

About the location, you may use the same that you use for TT2 custom contents, but anyway TT2 and the Mods aren't the same game at all and to avoid problems, we suggest you to make a different location inside of TT2 folder where place the custom maps and other things which you want add in the servers of mods.

Can I use the maps of Fear easily or I should modify them before of use, like happens for TT2 custom maps?

You can download and use every map made for Fear without modifies on Fear and Freefire, because we haven't changed the path. Just for TT2 you need to modify it, because there the path used from maps is different and the maps on TT2 must be adapted for this reason.

You can obtain some Fear maps downloading this program https://fear-combat.nl/FEAR-Maps.html which will allow you to download some of them.

How I do to join a server of a Mod from TT2?

You can use the updated External Servers list of Launcher, because it received an update which gives it the ability to support not just the TT2 servers but even the servers of new Mods. If you haven't the Mods installed, you will get an error message and then you will be able to download them, this part is already explained at the begin of this article. When the Mods are downloaded and installed correctly, in that case when you will click a name of a server of that Mod, you will join inside quickly.

Otherwise if you want join in the Mod from ingame, you must use the Internal Servers list clicking "Start Game" on Launcher and going in "Multiplayer" and there you will find the servers and you will be able to join the servers of Mods. (Look the example in the Screenshots: Screenshot 1 - Screenshot 2 - Screenshot 3)

If you are hosting the server in your pc and you don't find the server in list, propably you shall change the source of Internal Servers list in "Lan" if you want see it in list, then you will be able to join in. (Look the example in the Screenshot: Screenshot)
