Propably when you joined the game and you have seen in the list of servers near to the names of current maps for each server the write [SEC2] , you thought: "What the hell is SEC2?". With this topic i will explain to you what it is.

SEC2 v 2.0.1 is a new server patch developed by Fear Community. It helped them (and obviously us too) to introduce a new Master Server in 2015.

But this isn't all, because the SEC2 has introduced:

    1) New commands for the servers admins and mods, that help the managing of the servers selfs.

    2) An internal anti cheat that is able to detect possible cheats/hacks and a little Ddos protection.

    3) Fixed the bug issues with ban vote (Server Crash) with the introduction of cd key system that in TT2 we did with Player ID, and now the ban vote work correctly.

    4) The game servers now have finally 5 methods to ban players thanks to new commands with the possibility to ban with ip in case of hard cheaters and hackers.

Closed this introduction, you can understand that the new TT2 has a security system, thing that in the past it hadn't and the tools to ban was needed absolutely to protect the servers, and finally we can do it!

Now it's time to explain how work the SEC2Commands available for who can manage a server

If an admin want other friends that can manage his server, he knows that he can't use the console of server to command it like him, for this reason he needs to add and active a scmd password in the settings of server when he host it, so other moderators can connect with it and use the game chat like a console for the commands. After that he did it, to join in the scmd you have to do 2 steps:

Step 1) scmd login mode (Send it in chat - After go to step 2)
Step 2) scmd login password (Send it in chat)

If the process and all info are correct then you will see: Yourplayername logged in as server moderator.

When you are connected to scmd you can see who still joining the server before of others. The joining logs will be visible in chat.

Be careful to write correctly all steps with spaces and not caps lock, the risks is to show to others players the scmd password. So write the steps slowly and correctly.

After the login you can logout with 2 methods: Leave the server and re-join again or write in chat scmd logout and you will be out from scmd.

An important thing to know is that you can scroll up and scroll down the chat to see the old messages with two buttons in your keyboard pag up and pag down, this will help you with the commands that will give to you the ID of the players and of the maps.

How to find the ID of the players:

    Write scmd listclients

Now will appears the list of all slots of server that have an ID (if you can't see all list you can use the scroll up and down as i explained before) If the server can host 16 players, the list will have the slots with that begin with 0) and end with 15)

Thanks to these id you can act with the players in game using the several commands. Look this example:

In the list we have for example:

    0) [Player name 1] [ip adress] [Player id crypted] [ping]

    1) [Player name 2] [ip adress] [Player id crypted] [ping]

    2) [Player name 3] [ip adress] [Player id crypted] [ping]

    3) [Player name 4] [ip adress] [Player id crypted] [ping]

    4) [<empty Slot>] ... And others empty slot for example.

If we want for example kick the player "Player name 3" the command is scmd bootid 2

If we want mute a player that insult, like "Player name 2" the correct code to do it is: cmd_mute 1

After that you send the commands in chat will appears "SCMD command successfull" if you did it correctly.

With these command you are secure that you will act only with the player present in a fixed slot of the server, obviously you can kick a player with nickname too with scmd bootname "Name of Player", but if he has strange symbols added in nickname or a long name it will be much boring to use.

Obviously with this method you can ban too, there are several methods as i said before like:

    - scmd banuser id) Ban permanently the Player ID of a player from the server.

    - cmd_banuser id) [reason] Same kind of Ban of previous command but with the chance to write the reason of it (Example: cmd_banuser 4 He was a cheater).

    - cmd_tempbanuser id) Ban temporarily like the ban vote (1 hour of default).

    - cmd_banip [ip adress] Ban permanently with ip, is useful if a player did a damage or uncorrect actions in the servers and he left before to receive a ban, with the console of admin you can found his ip and ban it to block him.

    - cmd_banuserip id) Ban permanently the ip adress and Player ID too from the server, it's the strongest ban available for the Game Server. Obviously in this case need that player is present in game to use the id of scmd listclients.

If you want unban a player there are the official commands for all of these type of commands that show the list of banned players, you can find that in the main folder of TT2, called SEC2Commands, that has a full list of commands for the servers.

And if i want change a map with a specific map that i want, what is the command to use?

Now i will do an example with a server with 6 maps, if you have added new maps in your server can be useful.

Write scmd listmaps and will appears the list

    0) [Iskandarijja]

    1) [Beera]

    2) [Village]

    3) [Inka]

    4) [Micrus]

    5) [Grate]

If we are for example in the map Beera and we want go in the map Micrus, the code is scmd setmap 4.

If we want go to the next map, we can use same method but in this case we can use too scmd nextmap command.

It's possible modify the options of the servers too, like friendly fire, time of round, score limit, and others with scmd... Obviously is better make set that from the admin that can manage the settings of the server and the console of it.

You can find other Server Commands following this link (Click here).

You can find other commands with scmd help that show you a list of commands not added in the SEC2Commands.txt file (that you can find in the main game folder) that will help you. If you need help with other commands or don't understand something, ask in this topic and we will help you soon as possible.

    Good Managing!!
